Rev Janet Day priested 26th September 2020

Reverend Janet Day was ordained Priest. The service took place under Covid 19 regulations which meant that each candidate could only nominate 6 guests which had to include clergy. To support Janet were her husband David, Sisters Elizabeth and Diane together with their husbands Giuseppe and Nick. Canon Rev Mark Beaton who is Janet’s training incumbent also attended. The service was however, streamed live via Brecon Cathedral Facebook Page which meant that many more were able to see and enjoy this special occasion. Janet took her first Holy Communion service on Sunday 27th September via the 9.30am zoom link. This technology mean that many more were able to see Janet’s celebration which was not only attended by the usual congregations but also some of her family from around Britain and Sweden!
