Annual Church BBQ returns to Riverside Community Centre

Well over 50 people gathered to enjoy locally sourced burgers from the Builth Burger Factory. Many folk contributed to the offering by making, salads and desserts which we gratefully appreciated. A stall providing drinks kept everyone well hydrated. There was a raffle with great prizes. To entertain everyone, whilst they enjoyed their food and fellowship, was a quiz containing pictures of churches called St David’s which you had to identify where they were. Also and extremely entertaining were the names of local shops and business presented in the form of anagrams an example of which is “Builth Wells Rugby Football Club” becomes “bullfight collywobbles tubular”. The Vicar of Builth Group of Churches and also Area Dean Canon Mark Beaton thanked everyone who attended and contributed to the evening which was thoroughly enjoyable.
